I’m captivated by the history hiding in old things—the forgotten beauty of cast-offs and the stories they carry. My assemblage art transforms vintage and antique finds into one-of-a-kind sculptures that tell their own tales. Where others see a broken doll head or old copper teapot, I see a queen—or a spaceship.
The process begins with a spark: a single object that inspires a vision or a wild idea that sends me treasure hunting. Junkin’ is part of my soul—antique shops, flea markets, yard sales—my happy places.
Once the right pieces are found, I alter and assemble them with care. Paint, clay, metalwork—whatever it takes to turn a rubber pig into porcelain or a plastic tiger into brass. I use steel rods, bolts, epoxy clay, and more to make each piece secure and enduring.
