Milka Lolo

Milka Lolo, born and raised in Mexico City, demonstrated a strong artistic passion from a young age. Starting as a self-taught artist, she later refined her skills at the Academia de San Carlos, where she participated in workshops focusing on pictorial materials, ceramic sculpture, engraving, and drawing.

Eventually, Milka chose to step away from formal academic training to pursue independent research, allowing her the freedom to explore diverse artistic techniques and cultivate a distinctive pictorial language. Inspired by the Mexican folktales she cherished as a child, she began incorporating their characters into her paintings, eventually developing a unique style and contemporary aesthetic that has garnered attention from collectors worldwide. Milka’s work has been showcased in numerous group exhibitions in both Mexico and the United States.
