Kitsune is a Japanese word that means fox. They appear in various kind of Japanese folklores as a supernatural being. This work was inspired by a folk belief in supernatural event “Kitsune no Yomeiri” which means Fox’s Wedding. The phrase refers a sun shower. Kitsune create rain to trick people during their wedding so that human don’t go into the mountain to spy on their ceremonies. I’ve always thought the imagery of this event so beautiful and fascinated by mystery of other beings besides human as a kid.
